Become a volunteer

Volunteering at APNUPS plays a crucial part in helping us bring about lasting improvements in the quality of life for deprived children in the communities in Aliba and Rigbo in general. Whether you give a couple of hours, a day, or a year, we really value the time you spend with us.

Whether you are looking for work-related experience, filling in gaps in your CV, or just wanting to help, we would really appreciate your support.

At APNUPS we often accept volunteer both local and international, whether working as a Nursery or Primary teacher, working on our fundraising task, helping out in the Finance Department, currying out sensitisation on community healthcare, Girl child/women empowerment, community self-help projects, WASH, etc.   

 

REQUIREMENTS

Generally, our volunteers are required to minimally have a certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Development (ECD), a degree or a postgraduate diploma or an equivalent in our required areas and a good English proficiency. All applications are made online.

Local Volunteers: Our local volunteers are required to obtain a recommendation from his/her area Sub-County Chief or Chief Administrative Officer, have the willingness to work under rural conditions.

International Volunteers: A completed application form, imbursement of Stipend, submission of academic credentials and acceptance form, willingness to work in a third world country.

Orientation course: Our volunteers receive orientation course upon arrival at APNUPS. The responsible staff shall take the volunteers through a number of trainings in areas including: A background information on the history of Uganda (for international volunteers), policies, Values of APNUPS, Procedures of operation and code of conduct, etc.

Schedule: Application of open throughout the year
